Get lost among the corn and pumpkins at Paul’s Bauernhof

At Paul’s Bauernhof in Hofheim-Wallau, autumn is very orange. Pumpkin displays surround the entrance to the corn maze, and a dinosaur sculpture made from pumpkins stands over another whole patch of them. You can go into the maze, stop at the play areas or simply spend a while looking at the displays. We would leave a generous afternoon for this outing, especially with children.

Into the maize

The entrance in our photo sits between two painted hay-bale characters. Once inside, tall rows of corn turn the walk into a little navigation game. The farm says there are six stations to find and that the maze itself can take two to four hours, depending on your sense of direction. That is a useful reminder not to plan another fixed appointment immediately afterwards. Farm FAQ

The ground is a field rather than a paved path. The farm says strollers are allowed, but the route can be uneven; choose shoes for the weather and expect a slower walk after rain. Children under 12 must enter the maze with an adult. If your group wants a shorter visit, you can spend more time with the pumpkin displays and play areas instead of trying to complete every station. Pumpkin sculptures and time to play

The dinosaur in our photo is assembled from different coloured pumpkins, with rows of orange pumpkins beneath it. Nearby stands a tall pumpkin display under the farm sign. Those small details are part of the fun: look closely, take a photograph and see which shapes the children recognise first.

There is also a Mais-Schwimmbad, a play area filled with loose corn kernels. It is the sort of stop where children may want to stay much longer than you expect. Before you set off

The 2026 season lists the maze from 14 August and the pumpkin world from 29 August, with a season expected to run until around the end of October. Standard opening hours published by the farm are Monday–Friday 14:00–19:00; weekends and public holidays 10:00–19:00. The combined admission is currently €7.50 for adults, €5 for eligible reduced tickets, and free for children under 100 cm; a prepared pumpkin for carving costs extra. The attraction is in a field at Theodor-Heuss-Straße, 65719 Hofheim-Wallau, between Wallau and Wiesbaden-Nordenstadt. The farm says parking is signposted. Use the farm’s directions or Google Maps to find the event entrance; do not navigate to its separate Wiesbaden office address.

Our suggestion: Start with the maze while everyone has energy, then let the pumpkin displays and corn play area slow the afternoon down. Bring water and shoes you do not mind taking through a field.
